A Palestinian, an Israeli and a retired American couple met in Beit Jala… It may sound like the beginning of a joke, but to us, it was the beginning of a partnership filled with hope for a peaceful future because, despite the many tensions and history of conflict, we are still Two Neighbors who need to be able to coexist in peace.
We first met at a Global Village Square event, in a small border town between Israel and the Palestinian Territories – one of the few places where Israelis and Palestinians are free to meet on equal ground. At the meeting, we shared the feeling that we had all been waiting for peace to happen for far too long and decided to become proactive in the process in any way we could.
After many meetings, we decided that the best way for us to make a positive impact would be to demonstrate our willingness to work together to create products that integrate our different cultures.
That is where the concept for Two Neighbors was born.
Two Neighbors is about creating new jobs and providing a pathway to collaboration and peace through fashion.
